It was two years ago, as a presidential candidate, that Donald Trump used anti-immigration rhetoric to help get himself elected to the White House.

Now, with congressional elections two weeks away, what he sees as a golden opportunity to resume that rhetoric has presented itself.

Seven thousand people from Central America are heading towards to the US border, for a better life.

Mr Trump's response: they are not coming in. What he calls America's dumb immigration laws are the fault of his opponents, the Democrats, he says.
